The Fall weather came fast, and we have been blessed with some really amazing days. Yes, of course, there has been rain and wind as well.....but, there have also been plenty of beautiful days filled with sunshine and cooler temperatures, along with changing colors of foliage that just make everything so beautiful. Fo me, getting out and riding my bike during this time of year is a real treat...cooler temps, the colors, the smell of people burning leaves and burn piles, seeing the farmers all fast at harvest..... it is awesome, and I love it. :-)<br /><br />We took a little trip over to Republic, WA for deer hunting for a week recently. We had a most wonderful time...the camping part was excellent! The weather was about perfect! The deer hunting was NOT successful. We worked hard for a full five days, and only saw about 15 does total. This was Evan's very first time as a hunter, and so he was a bit bummed. I didn't expext that he would get to necessarily shoot his first deer on his very first hutning trip, but I sure did expect that he would have at least had the opportunity to see a bunch of deer, and at least one or two bucks. It just didn't happen. As I said, the camping part of the trip was great, and all of us had a really great time.<br /><br />Now that we are back home again, we are frantically busy this week with trying to clean out and celan up and organize the shop, so we can get set up for our 4th annual LBF chili cook-off and pumpkin carving contest!!! The shop is an absolute disaster area right now, and I figure these next couple of days are going to take all I have got to get it in shape and ready for Friday night.<br /><br />In addition to that, I have to find time to get to the store for shopping, and time to make my award winning chili for the contest!!! :-)<br /><br />So, I am finishing up my shift here at work this morning, and then heading home to get started on cleaning the shop. <br /><br />Friday night...... CHILI, FRIENDS, PUMPKINS!!! :-)Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-90552216320249787872010-11-17T17:12:00.000-08:002010-11-17T17:17:49.949-08:00The lonely blog...Yes, it is sad and true.... this blog is very, very, very lonely. I know I don't post daily, or even weekly, but I am so blessed to have my faithful friends who continue to check on me and patiently wait for me to get something exciting posted. Ok, maybe not "exciting", but obviously worth writing about. I am thankful for all of you and you have each blessed my life in one way or another.<br /><br />So, THANK YOU!!!Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-84590727287159891722010-03-10T14:25:00.000-08:002010-03-10T14:31:12.412-08:00New backgroundHi Everyone,<br /><br />It just seems that time passes so quickly and I don't spend as much time updating my blog as I should. I finally decided to change my background, so here I am. Life has been busy around the farm, starting to get ready for Spring. We have been spending a lot of time at the gym working out almost every day. It is a long, painful process, but I hold out hope that one of these days I will actually start to see some progress. I am feeling better and working out longer and harder, but have only dropped 22 pounds in three months time. I can't wait until I notice a difference in my body size, not just my workout routine!!! I know it will come. I just have to be patient and persistant. If anyone wants to join me, I am usually at the club between 8:30 and 9:00am Monday thru Friday. Hope to see some of you there. Let's sweat together!!!!!<br /><br />Anyways, I really hope to spend more time updating, but who knows. Life is busy, right? <br /><br />Until next time.....take care!!!Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-17320234470605330112010-03-04T09:58:00.000-08:002010-03-04T10:02:54.110-08:00Pork?....Anyone?.....If you are in the need for pork, we have an abundance! We have about 5 pigs worth of meat in our freezer. Lots of roasts, steaks, chops, ham steaks, boneless ribs, sausage and bacon. Let me know if you would like a price quote on any of the above. It is farm fresh, naturally raised, and tastier than you can imagine. We eat pork all the time, but it will take us years to get through all that we have.<br /><br />Come on, can't you just smell it?.....Pork roast in the crock-pot, with potatoes, carrots, celery, onion simmering next to it?....<br /><br />Oh boy, I better go get a roast and put it in the crock-pot. Guess what we are having for dinner tonight?Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-31003308924940781082010-02-26T12:51:00.001-08:002010-02-26T12:57:23.699-08:00Oops-ya got me, Tarah!!!So, the other night the kid's wanted pizza. We decided on Westside in Lynden. I offered to go get it while Gordon got the kids ready for the evening of pizza and movie watching. As I was approaching the stop light at Front and the Guide, I looked over by Westside pizza at the Chevron station, saw my friend Tarah standing outside her Ford Explorer playing with her beautiful long black hair while waiting for her tank to fill up. Her back was to me so I thought I would scare her by racing up behind her to say hi. I pulled in, squealed into the space behind her ready to honk my horn. She turned around with a "deer in the headlights" look on her face and I realized at that time it wasn't her. I scared the pee out of some innocent gal just because I thought it was Tarah. I was extremely embarrassed. I rolled down my window, told her I was sorry and that I thought she was someone else, then told her to have a great evening. Ugh!!! I hate it when my friends are able to embarrass me even when they don't know it!!!!!!!<br />Note to self: Don't offer to go get the pizza-it might embarrass you.Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-54138183972878255082010-02-16T14:29:00.000-08:002010-02-16T14:36:09.429-08:00Rollerskating PrincessYesterday was President's Day. The kids didn't have school, Gordon wasn't at work, and Grammy and Papa are here for a couple more days. We decided to go rollerskating in Lynden. Or should I say Gordon, Evan and Sierra rollerskated while Papa, Grammy and I sat out and watched. I love to rollerskate, but my legs and feet hurt from my workout that morning, so I decided not to skate. During general skate time, they always have a time for The Hokey Pokey, The Limbo, Boy's speed skating, Girl's speed skating, The Dice Game, and any other fun things to do on rollerskates. <br />Sierra decided to get in line for the Limbo. It started out with about 30-40 kids. By the time they were down to the last three rungs, it was only about 6 kids. Sierra went right thru and didn't touch the pole. All of the others knocked the pole down, so Sierra ended up winning. She got a "skate dollar" to spend at the store. I believe she ended up buying sour cherry candies and a grape flavored lip gloss. Here is her victory win!!!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1MOlUoOxMRxVuWrUbcjQRZEbmmECpyAekNXVihi3HUvc4NqpEKo8LV9uoFu2xi2pE645KXQtOconskBYta3yCQlV1Tfjk299FRJRoU8QxS-5rbvkVX9iVzS7ZBQEIypIXGuQD290sMRZ2/s1600-h/IMG_0655.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1MOlUoOxMRxVuWrUbcjQRZEbmmECpyAekNXVihi3HUvc4NqpEKo8LV9uoFu2xi2pE645KXQtOconskBYta3yCQlV1Tfjk299FRJRoU8QxS-5rbvkVX9iVzS7ZBQEIypIXGuQD290sMRZ2/s400/IMG_0655.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438973665040881426" /></a>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-71913460369172674072010-02-04T10:31:00.001-08:002010-02-04T10:39:32.217-08:00Mickey....or Nim....or, yes, Mickey!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjihaiNiLh1Zidkwj2FsJueBkkCHDKqTZcR2lhrrzM01EP_dXHQ5i3512GXR8-NEWhDjXEmWhS-XI65IUFt9Ktrpvzx96R4g9a83WkHCQNuI2e4r-ibDj-XrWr9odTyUX__lWPLGoiv1HRE/s1600-h/IMG_0594.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjihaiNiLh1Zidkwj2FsJueBkkCHDKqTZcR2lhrrzM01EP_dXHQ5i3512GXR8-NEWhDjXEmWhS-XI65IUFt9Ktrpvzx96R4g9a83WkHCQNuI2e4r-ibDj-XrWr9odTyUX__lWPLGoiv1HRE/s400/IMG_0594.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434459628232665554" /></a><br />We adopted a cat from our great friend Diann. She had too many cats running around her house and asked if we wanted to take home "Fluffy" for the kids. I said yes, on a trial basis, knowing that my family has never been huge cat fans and I wasn't sure how the cat would do in our house. You see, we already have two outdoor cats, but Sierra really wanted an indoor cat. Someone she could sleep with, watch tv with, and play with. So, "Fluffy" came home with me. <br /><br />He has turned out to be the BEST cat ever. Who knew?<br /><br />We have gone thru a few names in trying to find the best name for him. "Fluffy" just didn't fit his personality. We tried out "Rocky", but we already have a goat with that name, so it didn't last either. We finally settled on "Mickey". I playfully call him "Mickey Mouse".<br /><br />Gordon and Brad are early risers. They get up in the wee hours of the morning, so they spend a lot of play time with "Mickey". He is quite the character in the mornings. Gordon and Brad have lovingly given him the nickname "Nim" (as is Nimrod).<br /><br />He is a great addition to our family and we have been having a lot of fun with him.Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-1460674421532208322010-01-27T10:21:00.001-08:002010-01-27T10:29:23.660-08:00Busy-ness and saying goodbyeIt has been crazy busy around here trying to get all the puppies ready to go to their new homes. Last week, we sent green ribbon girl (Blondie), to the airport to fly to her new home in Texas. That same day, Diann came and got her two puppies (purple ribbon girl and red ribbon boy). That left just 4. The next morning we headed off to Portland to deliver two more puppies to their new homes. Orange ribbon boy (Wrigley) went to our awesome friends Albert and Julie. We are going to show Wrigley and use him as a stud dog later on. He is absolutely gorgeous!!! Blue ribbon boy (Zues) went to Ty and Christina. We went to high school with Christina and her and Gordon reconnected through Facebook. She saw our puppies and decided she wanted one. So, they both went to Portland. We spent the weekend with family and had a mini-vacation from home and returned on Monday afternoon. Tomorrow, we are taking pink ribbon girl (Faith) to meet her new parents, Rick and JoAnn, at the Twassen ferry terminal. They actually live on Vancouver Island, but are taking the ferry across to meet us. That leaves yellow ribbon girl. She doesn't have a new family yet. We are in the process of finding someone who will love her forever. Know of anyone who wants a beautiful yellow lab girl to love?<br />With the puppies almost gone, it is now time to do a little spring cleaning around here. I think we might have to call in the big guns and rent a dumpster!!! My kids like to collect things. It is time to go through their bedrooms and throw away the broken things. Anybody wanna help?Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-55105949017193958182010-01-21T07:59:00.000-08:002010-01-21T08:10:07.456-08:00Speaking of new kitties.........So, we finally decided to get the kid's the inside cat they have wanted for awhile. Gordon and I have never been cat people. We have always loved our dogs. The two farm cats we have outside have proven to be the best cats ever. We just love them. They like to come in at night and snuggle on the dryer and sleep the night away, then go back outside for the day. Our new kitty is a hoot! If you walk by him, he swats at you and tries to get you to play. The minute you sit down anywhere, he is in your lap wanting some attention. He also likes to sit as close to the keyboard as possible when we are on the computer. He is a lot of fun.<br /><br />But then.....Gordon came home from work the other morning and asked me why there was a kitten in the puppy kennel with the pups. I didn't know there was, so I went out for a look. Sure enough, there is a kitten that is hanging out with the puppies, cuddling up with them, playing with them. It won't let us get anywhere close to it. It hisses and then runs, but continues to stay in the general area of the puppy pen. So, I guess for now, we have a ferrel kitty that came out of nowhere that is hanging out for awhile. Who knows, maybe it will be a nice kitty and become a farm cat also. <br />NO, we are not changing into kitty people. We will ALWAYS be dog people, but we have room in our lives for a couple of cute cats!!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAfa4E98uOlOO2Ts_WQRUNPjo7aaQO0SNPqyF1V6PnsppyBTYfSTf4Y0WX3KCWBEQo6CjFlwbYMtmUVe1s_9ofwheOo6Syv0t1NxvwNv5PeN_dX4hZ4zCz6CB3cekSgxAlj_LQtEbZfoez/s1600-h/IMG_0591.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAfa4E98uOlOO2Ts_WQRUNPjo7aaQO0SNPqyF1V6PnsppyBTYfSTf4Y0WX3KCWBEQo6CjFlwbYMtmUVe1s_9ofwheOo6Syv0t1NxvwNv5PeN_dX4hZ4zCz6CB3cekSgxAlj_LQtEbZfoez/s320/IMG_0591.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429225870824574370" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0rttN52SgWGGBdBChbDd5ORDpI0EBKzRwdC5Gv_egm-oVvQ3SKI0fftysx1ZHG5NgrSuzyiAEohO7C_ogp4IMbmxYCAzm2EufznqjgUUdUZFKZ5ECmJ3vteWdJ9dYar8bUH5nXH-Ntcg_/s1600-h/IMG_0589.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0rttN52SgWGGBdBChbDd5ORDpI0EBKzRwdC5Gv_egm-oVvQ3SKI0fftysx1ZHG5NgrSuzyiAEohO7C_ogp4IMbmxYCAzm2EufznqjgUUdUZFKZ5ECmJ3vteWdJ9dYar8bUH5nXH-Ntcg_/s320/IMG_0589.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429225865574043490" /></a>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-75169474675187255392010-01-18T17:17:00.000-08:002010-01-18T17:23:07.077-08:00Evan and Sierra's new toyOk, not really a toy. This is Fluffy. He is a barn cat that was at my friend, Diann's. He came to live with us because he is such a loving cat and Diann just didn't have time for four cats. Fluffy is an indoor cat. He loves playing with the kids. His favorite past time right now is to hide under the bed or couch and attack your feet when you walk by. He is really fun and the kids are having a great time with him. The bonus for me....he came potty trained to a litter box. I have been fighting with my hair for a long time now, and it actually looks great today. Problem is, Gordon is at work, Brad is at work, and the kids have school. There is no one here to share my great hair day with!!! What is up with that?!?!?!?<br /><br />So, I decided before Evan and Sierra left for school, I would have Evan take a picture of my hair. Ok, don't look at me, just my hair. It's not like it is a great picture of me, but check out the hair!! Obviously from the previous post, you can tell that even Gordon is hounding me about it, so, with that being said......<br /><br />We have a new litter of puppies that was born the day after Thanksgiving. They are almost ready to go to their new homes, so I thought I would share a couple of pictures. <br /><br />I will do my best to continue to update and post as often as possible. I don't promise daily posts, but I will try to post at least a couple of times a week. Don't give up on me!!! I have sat back and waited, made comments, and even tried guilting her into updating it..... but all to no avail. So, although I am NOT the Farmer's Wife, I am the Farmer here at Little Bearfoot Farm. And as such, I am taking it upon myself to at least post this one blog in the month of December.... simply to say to all of you who have been waiting and wondering what has happened.....<br /><br />Merry Christmas (already past), and a very Happy New Year!!!!! :-)<br /><br /><br />May you all find this blog site to be current and updated regularly during 2010.<br /><br /><br />GordonTraciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-79415030333326788892009-11-10T05:30:00.000-08:002009-11-10T05:30:00.324-08:00Happenings around LBF this FallLucy- born this summer. Before that, we just kept trying to fix it. It definitely needed to be replaced, but we waited until it completely died before we gave in. We went to Sears just to look at a cheap replacement, but the salesman had a better idea. He had a special order that ended up getting cancelled. So we took a look. We ended up getting an $1100.00 range for over 50% off. It is a kitchenaid, with glass top 4 burners, a warming burner, oven and convection oven. It is nice!! It doesn't completely go in our yucky kitchen, but it sure is beautiful!!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 213px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5400333060554269874" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhgUZTpvyfajcWtazORly6Dxxw8Nzatmf2Z1Q3OrLJOVz2q5JdaFSpuaxVsgb5gE7a4kNGYKh7eSZYI98VteMYFHE7oBpvm6a-TWgbnOj9hu6n55SKVGtvTabipo9X4Rda6WRB3NXY7OYU/s320/DSC_0560.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 213px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5400333054607425794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO9KMWKkXP-Mwm6hnK4G-tphdbvdTe3ktAUIrY9Zqkjs90T-n9GHyZlbg_t01FfmiR-BeT9TFZH5xtrpgcEz3oKYfMCG1hLmsGhGQ4tf4BOzaLv0Fxa1JhoLWxu4EaIYOwaavrkccWxE9S/s320/DSC_0563.JPG" /></div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-75878703640730110242009-11-02T09:43:00.000-08:002009-11-02T10:07:26.685-08:00My Halloween-ers<div><div>We had a great Halloween this year. Almost every year, Gordon ends up working on Halloween and the kids and I go to Noah Night at Christ Fellowship Church in Nooksack. It is a big carnival inside the gym where the kids can run around and get candy at the different games and it is all safe, warm and inside. This year, Gordon was home and Uncle Brad was here to have a good time with us. We started off our evening by getting dressed up and going to The Nuthouse for dinner. Then we went across the street to a small neighborhood and went door-t0-door. It was a beautiful evening. Not too cold. A great night for a walk around a neighborhood. The kids had a blast running from house to house and we saw a lot of other trick-or-treaters. After that, our evening was topped off with a surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa. They were in Seattle with my sister Chris, waiting to see if my brother-in-law Tim was going to have surgery that day. The surgery got postponed until this Tuesday, so they drove up to see all the grandkids. It was a great evening and the kids had a blast.</div><br /><div></div><div>My beautiful, royal princess......<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399569129711728402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilR2PAhn9IN_zMe2VQHCqXgscTTdcseJkOUORccaQ5dbwc0-SUPDKDydlMdZAm7GF_7zfQ9rGZWaH-J_J4SGSAknmlAPs0MwX9dikM2f0cs0fd0bEsoBLhc3oW_wx9LoYJlpSFI5qg65ch/s400/DSC_0537.JPG" /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>My all-star athlete, football player.....<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399569133071402482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ4yaTER7I3TFkJyjzzn7EqQhxXZd-dBVKTykxlAVo6R2BiqjX89rh9z-mwu2qJGy_LNZmOIiiXGe1_p2jlgTndsd09EGpTFro2Wy-WCL1LxCEqRoY7zVAXMOhZCqVMS4BGEwyjs3kqrFm/s400/DSC_0541.JPG" /></div></div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-6961247881291754802009-10-26T09:27:00.000-07:002009-10-26T09:37:22.013-07:00What about me, Mom?<div><div> Well, as you can imagine, when Evan saw that Sierra had purple highlights, he got a little jealous. He has been asking me to color his mohawk for a long time and I just haven't done it. So, after church we went to the beauty supply store and bought the stuff to do his hair. I had to by bleach to take the natural color out of his hair first and then add the purple color. But before any of that could happen, Daddy had to first cut his hair and make it look right. He was very patient through the whole process and even exclaimed, "I can't believe I am holding still this long!" <div><div>Here are pictures of the bleached hair(which he wanted to leave like that), and then the final coloring. It is brighter in person than in the pictures. The pictures just happened to turn out a little dark. </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5396948090667355026" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnVL0-rry2UiSyVqL55B92E8v9RMkozFYz3BWA1zy-3EotoyJsh6CrrhwET99W0uJ7kh6VGr9pM8SjGtQtX1Zgxb2SEZttSKedHKvr8RseWlbLlz5pQNzmKRmHazpGyTzbaGvQxCrbIhhI/s320/DSC_0336.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5396948099758233442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyaVt64iOcDeGWSt7IFPTYfjfT9PwyR0vqw5lBP1czZdBQ_SsyIBVcnOoPWWbmMg1u1dFjYR7-L74K3UGg2WWS-U4uylteCv2v07OBTkAf7tDWH9rJQrTKeelcGkl4PA18xXThh-RvucfT/s320/DSC_0337.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5396948157836725906" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoCQ-6vS9ZRstFa7BJ8o1GOsTlUvBQyD8NJm5ufPa6LBEqX_s1-ToQrK8sS-cm0jba0ryyw2LTgie4xyCCuuivXzZpuMiCg14Xm29IJtYkrZaUIR9IvDilWMjIPUzafh229K4p8TaRDE6r/s320/DSC_0341.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5396948111523048082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaNxnTHqA6GO7puR1O1STf2KeX4Gcq6OplpkGGqosRrRz2btpALECb3B6F7SIlScCcvtBVFsl0EkZ3ITKCVjI9Hj8LNLvBYEg9ZRZ4mpBox_Sa0UxWNYgNdUmqCLTJQ6DNt0eG8XvxVJJL/s320/DSC_0340.JPG" /><br /><div></div><div>GO, NOOKSACK!!!!</div></div></div></div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-20859462584576265112009-10-22T14:48:00.000-07:002009-10-22T14:55:12.935-07:00The new Sierra......<div> Sierra got a haircut today. She and I went to Stephana's work and spent the morning getting our hair done. Sierra was adamant that we could not cut her hair, only "trim" it. Stephana and Sierra worked out a compromise. If she held still and let Stephana cut 2 ish inches off to give her healthy hair, then Stephana would see if she had any purple highlights to put in her hair. She was soooooo excited, she held still and did a great job. So, now she has purple highlights. They look amazing and she is very happy with her hair. Great job, Stephana!!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395545854183390002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiot5EsmMjVYhp_wuyMntk0aV5nrtocI1ZOqDIvxsAt8gopmawe0M3HYK6pPQde6jd5ddvdsT8bVDTco3ijP0Hvd0kj8A1WPc9M7CuDzIFQv1tfaVbT-a_dlIzUY_0JuGLjC3_iPqI6bq_M/s320/IMG_0289.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395545865927746482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfUNXA6g0ALf_o84nln3h-07bix5jUn3xF5fletRifn1xoxM7WFD0LssF6JabbdrV2kA7zUV6J0_gpWSmosOGP5nMkUSCBGizRQASDKCYRvdR9WS3tEukDpsHANl2V3GmTfOI3LtiSOPwU/s320/IMG_0290.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395545847783726514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2-9hVA2ouHItDQ86kZlNmKtQT_0nA7pASo3kfzwWN_MjLfpx7cfwGdUvtHYjK-UtWeTMlXIdFq-4WNwTSS9zHB28Fdmk2d13thi39I3XVtRRhGlMXYaofjFQj72apHwOq2zMuhe-huUOq/s320/IMG_0288.JPG" /></div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-65874590967906872082009-10-19T10:45:00.000-07:002009-10-19T17:17:02.607-07:002nd annual LBF chili cook-off<p></p><p>These are just a couple of videos from our chili cook-off. Friends have been making chili recipes all week getting ready for the cook off. Last year was the first year and it was a huge success. This year, there is a 1st place plaque that the winner gets to display at their house for the year, and then bring it back to the next year's cook off. Every year we will add a name.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392957048302608162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiObyi5Q8m9BP2vWZLxmW_6-yR8cmSK1CgwFF6a9GCATKG-Ii8Nr7GM3jrb_pzNkTX-vOFRQ2GyWIi8ZWffvxT-MIDl_c5vuR45TTLdMtiBDA6eAI6DoSA6QwpUAsBw239lf02rX1txOUq-/s400/IMG_0127.JPG" /></div><div>Who is it going to be this year? Can anyone top Tim's chili? I don't know. His is pretty impressive in my book!!</div><br /><div></div><div>Let the contest begin.....</div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457328600811529896.post-15799001729718903082009-10-14T11:24:00.000-07:002009-10-14T11:38:32.904-07:00The lonely lantern...<div><div>I was so excited this spring when I got a little package in the mail. My lovely chinese lantern seeds!! Yeah!!!! I read that they are very invasive and will grow like crazy, so I contained them in a stump. The foliage was so pretty this summer and I was thrilled and excited for the Fall to come when I would get to see all the pretty orange flowers. </div><div>Well, not so much. At least not this year. I only got one lonely lantern out of the whole group. Isn't is pretty? I love the vibrant orange color.</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392526723081020594" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0vypuEnLNlthwpMDxhDLyv9WM4bYcsjH8ZWuEzSrMcHYWI5m8gZPlOuSrZoNPCHtINRwnzgXvnuDMPjntJ74dyZjpgAuQjUgWXJj0E80YrlbLGkaqSthgezKVi6oAD7opu8xBZ20IYISD/s400/IMG_0124.JPG" /> <div></div><div>Next year....lots more lanterns!!!</div></div>Traciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12321306006194262514noreply@blogger.com0
