Tour de Cure 2009

Hi all,
Yes, it has been awhile. This past weekend we went to Oregon so that Gordon, Evan and Papa could ride the Tour de Cure 2009 ride for diabetes. We have a lot of people we know who have diabetes, and Evan thought it would be fun to do a ride with his dad and Papa; thus, "Three Generations" team was founded!

We have been preparing for a few weeks for this ride. I set up Evan's web page and sent out a ton of emails to get donations to help support this cause. Every rider pays a $25 riding fee, plus is required to get $150 in donations by the day of the ride. With the love and support of all of you, Evan personally raised $845.00. I believe you can still donate if you did not and would like to. You can go to http://http//main.diabetes.org/site/TR/TourdeCure/TDC460018030?px=4912448&pg=personal&fr_id=5623 to donate. You only have a few days left, so hurry if you want to make a donation!
Anyways, I also made up team support t-shirts for myself, Sierra, Uncle Brad, and Grammy. Nothing too fancy, but fun anyways. It was a hot, hot day. Sierra ended up sick, with a fever. She slept most of the day. You can see she is laying on the turf, waiting for the guys to get back from the ride.
Evan, daddy and papa rode in honor of the following people that we know with diabetes.
*Papa
*Grandpa
*Uncle Tim
*Allie Bird
*Hailey Konze
*Betty Frankina
If we missed anyone, we are sorry. We tried to think of our close friends and family.
All in all, it was a great day spent in honor of our loved ones. Thanks to all who supported this great ride!!

My plan has worked!!!!!

Ha ha ha!!!

If you follow my blog regularly, or follow the blogs of my friends, Tiffani and Holly, you know that we have a tradition of spoofing on each others houses when we can. Well, supposedly it was my turn to get spoofed again. We went out of town for a few days and my sweet friends decided to have a pool party, BBQ at my house without us there. They posted pictures on their blogs and have been waiting for me to comment.

Well, I decided early on (before even knowing what they were going to do) that I would spoof them at the same time. I read both of their blogs while I was out of town, laughed my head off, thought to myself "way to go, girls" and then did nothing. I mean NOTHING!!!

We have been home for four days and I haven't contacted them, blogged, facebooked, nothing to let them know what I have been up to. I have been letting them all stew at home thinking that I was mad at them for using my place for their entertainment while I was gone. HE HE HE!! I think it worked, because they have both called and talked to Gordon, trying to figure out while I haven't talked to them. YES, MY PLAN WORKED!!! Spoof on you guys!!!

It really has been killing me not to talk to them or blog or anything. I feel so out of the loop right now and I can't wait for them to both read this to figure out what I did.
Love you girls!!!!

On another note, I heard that there was another person involved that helped come up with the plan that hasn't had her place spoofed on yet! Look out, I know who you are and I am coming for you soon. You are next! Be afraid, be very afraid!!!!

Prayer for an angel

I don't know this family, but I saw this video on YOUTUBE and feel the need to post this link. Please pray for Kate and her family. Her eyes spoke to me and I feel the urgency to ask for prayers for her.

Welcome, Lucy!!

Yesterday was a busy day. Motocross (where Evan took 2nd place.) He rode better than I have ever seen him ride!! Followed by a mad dash to baseball. Evan got there a little late, but still played most of the game. After that we went to Milt's. (our Thursday night tradition.) While at Milt's, Jessie, Cheyanne, Kendahl and Sierra were at home hangin' and having a girls day. Jessi called and said that Buttercup looked funny and was acting like she was having contractions. I told them all to keep an eye on her and we would be back soon. We were about 5 minutes from our house when my phone rang. Cheyanne said, "She dropped a baby!" When we got home, she was just licking her baby clean. I got close enough to lift her legs and see if she was a boy or a girl. IT'S A GIRL!!!! Yeah, Buttercup. Congrats on baby Lucy!

Now, we just have to spray them all for flys!!!

Revenge is SWEET!!!!

Do all of you remember this?

Let me explain. Our little group of girls have a fun, yet annoying tradition that involves vacation, breaking and entering (not really), and creative minds. When one of us is on vacation or not in the immediate area that a group of us are when in their house, we like to re-arrange a few house items for fun. Or put a toilet/fountain on their front porch for everyone to see, or put our beautifully manicured feet on their pillow...You get the picture, right?

Well, this week was my revenge week. My wonderful friend, Holly, decided to make me a toilet/fountain for my birthday and put it on my front porch. REVENGE IS SWEET!!

I'm not saying much, but Holly is out of town for a few days and I had the opportunity to "visit" her house. I just happened to run into Holly's sister in law, Tiffani while she was breaking and entering "delivering the mail". Check out Tiffani's blog to see her interpretation of delivering the mail. That's pretty much all I'm sayin..................but here is an artistic preview.

Love you Holly! Now-go pick on someone your own size!!!
